It’s been a while since I last posted a blog here because of busy schedule from work but found the urge to write one today as I found out that one of my favorite rock singers in the 90s era died.
90s rock fans were caught in a shock yesterday as Scott Weiland was reported dead at age 48. The news was a trending topic and many have already shared their thoughts about Weiland’s passing.
According to Rollingstone report, the former frontman of influential rock bands Stone Temple Pilots and Velvet Revolver was found unconscious on his sleep at his tour bus in Minnesota and confirmed by his manager Tom Vitorino.
According to the police department, they found cocaine in the bus near his body, however, the cause of the rock singer’s death was not disclosed. Weiland was popularly known for his substance abuse and has battled with it for years.
Weiland was on tour with his band The Wildabouts to support their upcoming album when the incident happened.
His former band, Stone Temple Pilots have left a message to the singer in their Facebook page.
Here’s my tribute to the late great singer, who was one of the influences when it comes to songwriting and singing. MTV Unplugged of Stone Temple Pilots.
May you rest in peace Scott! Rock on!
