It was G.A.S. time once again at the Philippine Annual Music Gear Show held at the Amoranto Theater. The two-day event was the local version of NAMM show held annually. Different brands of boutique pedals, amps, guitars, bass guitars, keyboard, drum equipment and all types of music accessories displayed and what’s great was that visitors could also test these items. Featured performances by Flood, Sanctus, Virgin Hunters, Sandata, Fuseboxx and Pinoy guitar legend Wally Gonzales.
Guitar aficionados and other famous local musicians dropped by and tested the instruments that wowed the crowd. I, myself had a wonderful time too testing some of the amps like Albion and guitars like the G&L strat.
Though there were only few who participated, I’m glad that these companies had brought in some of these cool branded gears to the local shore. Hope that more companies will take part in this event next year. The more equipment to showcase, the better.
Music lovers, here’s a perfect venue if you happen to look for a place which offers to repair your troubled instruments, offers you affordable and high end quality specs for modifications and does customizations.
Guitar Salon Custom Guitar Center is a haven for all musicians out there. It’s not just a custom guitar shop but it’s also a place where you can hang out, meet and share your music with others. It’s in fact “your second home“. The store has a wide array of parts available for your specific modifications and customizations. Imagine building your very own dream guitar or bass for a cheaper price but of high quality standards – as good as the popularly branded ones. That’s something to look forward to especially for me who is also a guitar fanatic. Can’t wait to have a hollow body type guitar, another Tele and Strat, an SG type, a Les Paul style, Jaguar, Jazzmaster, etc. Geez, there are too many styles and I want ‘em all. I’m gonna fill up my room with all these types of guitars hehe.
They’ll be having a soft opening this coming July 11, 2011, so do check it out.
Guitar Salon Custom Guitar Center is located at R & G bldg. #305 Roosevelt Avenue corner M.H. Del Pilar Street, San Antonio, Pugad Lawan, Quezon City. It’s near Edsa-Munoz train station.
