Another sad news in the world of sports in just a matter of days, from foreign, let’s go to the local shore. Basketball icon Bobby Parks has passed away this Saturday and it came to a shock.

He died of lung cancer according to reports. It developed from his previous illness of laryngeal cancer which was left untreated.
Bobby Parks Sr. first suited up in San Miguel team in the PBA then in Shell where he formed the mighty triumvirate with Benjie Paras and Ronnie Magsanoc.
He was the coach of the San Miguel Beermen ballclub in the Asean Basketball League (ABL) and affiliated with the National University Bulldogs.
The 7-time Best Import in Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) was one of the very few imports I idolized who played in the league. His work ethic in the game was inspiring, playing with heart and had a good attitude on and off court as well. He definitely left behind a great legacy that’s unparalleled among the current crop of players.
May he rest in peace.
